I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me in the General Election. It's been a great pleasure and a privilege to be the Liberal Democrat candidate.

Everyone agrees that this has been the most extraordinary election, the long-term effects of which are likely to be truly historic.

Here in Worcester, the Lib Dems gained almost 20% of the votes cast - about one in five - a remarkable achievement in what has traditionally been seen as a Labour/Tory marginal.
